From The Desk Of: Kerry Hammond
Dear Friend,
Since you’ve found this website I suppose it’s ok to let you know… “I’m a fanatic when it comes to dogs and dog shows..” The truth is, I’m always on the internet looking for the secrets of the best show dog owners in the world. That’s what led me to put this website up. Let me explain…
While surfing around the internet, I stumbled upon something so fantastic that it immediately got my attention… In fact, I discovered something sooo amazing that at first I thought it was "too good to be true" like most things are.
A few months ago, I was doing some research on Virginia Tuck Nicholas, one of the most acknowledged and respected show dog judges in recent history. I noticed that most of her work was available and accounted for with the exception of one of her most important pieces of work, ‘Show Your Own Dog.
Well, this got me curious and so I started digging a little deeper. I started to send off a few emails asking questions, but unfortunately, every road I seemed to head down was a dead end… until a couple of weeks ago that is…
By a stroke of luck, I emailed my story to one of my favorite site’s webmasters… as it turned out he had an old copy of difficult to find book - it was right under my damn nose. After numerous emails I finally got him to mail me his copy.
I Uncovered One Of The Most Important Dog Showing Manuscripts Of All Time....
Even though it was first published in 1956, this book has the best information on grooming dogs for shows that I have ever seen.
In the 11 chapters here’s just a snippet of what you’ll learn:
- What a dog show is really like...and how to conduct yourself at one. Learn how the grounds are set up and the etiquette surrounding them.
- Why you don't need a professional handler...and why most people who show dogs are commonly known as, 'mad', a little joke amongst themselves.
- How a champion is made...and learn about the points system, pedigree's and other relevant factors. Once you know all these, you'll have a good understanding of what the judges are looking for in a champion.
- About the terms and conditions that are commonly used at dog shows. You'll learn how to use some of these terms so that they'll become second nature to you.
- Secrets of how to get ready for the show...using the tips and tricks of the professional dog showing entrant.
- The steps to take when training your dog in the early stages...a vast majority of this will be done when your dog is in it's puppy stages. This will be very good grounding for when your dog is old enough to be showed.
- What equipment to use...for showing your dog, you'll definitely need most of this gear because if you don't you will just be battling. Plus you might not be allowed into shows if you haven't come prepared.
And there’s loads more…
At this point, you might be wondering how you can get your hands on a copy…
Well here’s the good news.
After doing even more research (I told you I was a fanatic when it comes to showing my dog ) I have contacted the original copyright owner and gained permission to republish Virginia Tuck Nicholas’s complete work on this website.
Showing dogs is my passion and I want to share it with as many people as possible. Believe it or not, I’ve decided to do something completely unheard of these days. I’m going to let you have this amazing manuscript for nothing.
It’s FREE… Yes 100% FREE
So without any further adieu, let’s get started...
